It could be some package dependency that was too old, or it could just be dumb luck. Unfortunately, this does nothing to explain the fatal error I mentioned above and has no correlation. It's actually working mostly well, and I've played a few hours between E1 and E2, even getting to 3D parts with no issues. Relocating my Steam library hasn't exactly gone well but I decided to reinstall ELE and gave it another try. Due to 17.3 no longer receiving updates and some other technical issues I've been having I ended up taking a huge chunk of my weekend to backup data, format, and install Mint 18.3 KDE 圆4. It sort of worked but died weirdly when it got to the first 3D scene. A few days ago I decided to try running ELE Windows under Proton (Wine-like emulation that can be enabled in the Steam client). let us know if/when you hear back.įollowing up with a belated informational post on my further experiences. However, I rather doubt they'll want to bother with it given that they've moved on to new projects.Originally posted by George:Same problem here. Since I can see that plenty of people have this issue with the new edition, and there's really no good reason for it to be a) present at all or b) difficult to fix in any way, I'm considering requesting a patch from Shiro Games. This goes for files of both games I missed "It was an accident" for breaking 20 pots, and "Dungeon Crawler" for finding the Shrine of the Babamut, and no number of pots broken or reentry into the area can fix the issue. The Legendary Edition, for some reason, needs the specific trigger of completing the achievement while online to unlock it. The separate versions of both games, as far as I know, checked whether the conditions for any achievements had been fulfilled every time you loaded your save, and gave them to you right away if you'd missed them. DO NOT PLAY OFFLINE or the achievements that you earned will be missed! You'll have to start a new game to get them. Achievement hunters, be warned! This is a major change from the individual versions.
